Play Console Games On Your PC - Spawn HD-720

Imagine what it would be like to be able to access your video game consoles (regardless of the type and manufacturer) from pretty much any location where a broadband Internet connection is available. A company called Spawn Labs just intends to do that.

The Spawn HD-720 works with the Xbox 360, the Xbox, the PlayStation 3, the PlayStation 2 and the GameCube and a single Spawn HD-720 can be connected to one or two consoles, being able to provide remote game play access to one of the two consoles at a time. A $30 adapter is required for the PS2, Xbox, or GameCube.

How does this work:
You just plug the unit into your home network via Ethernet, attach your console's A/V outputs to the HD-720's back panel, and then plug a cable from the gamepad adapter on the front of the HD-720 into your console's gamepad port. Once that's done, you just fire up your Windows desktop or laptop, download the free Spawn Player software, attach a gamepad to your system via PC, and start playing remotely, either across the room or across the country.

Additional features:
When accessing the console from a remote location over a broadband connection, the service automatically optimizes video resolution for the available bandwidth. Many users can expect SD resolutions to offer the smoothest playback on an Internet connection. The system also allows additional viewers to watch the game without interacting.

Price:
This unit is priced at 200 USD with additional adapter for PS2 or GameCube at 30 USD. The download of software is free of cost.
