Following recent price cuts from both Microsoft and Sony it was surely only a question of when Nintendo would follow suit and attempt to reverse flagging Wii sales.
Although there is no official confirmation as yet but recently an alleged Toys 'R' Us advert has been spotted which suggests the American price will be reduced to $199.99 from $249.99.
Such a move would put the Wii on equal billing as the Xbox 360 Arcade in the United States.
