Vijay Mallya may have won accolades by allowing Giancarlo Fisichella to join Ferrari team for rest of the season, but did he missed the point by not selecting Indian driver for the vacant seat.
Karun Chandok has been doing well in GP2 series which is just below Formula 1. Then you also have Narien Kartickeyan who has already driven a Formula 1 car and has been a test driver as well. Would not it have been nice to see an Indian run a Indian car in Formula 1.
The F1 boss also feels the same and that is the reason why he has openly said that he would have loved Karun Chandok to be running the Force India car. He was disappointed at Vijay Mallya choosing another Italian for the job. Now weather this is due to some contract with Italian company remains mystery.
And India still awaits its driver in Forumla 1.
